good question... im in high school and many of my friends have started smoking withing the last year. They are very dumb to start smoking, a couple of them just started experiementing with cigarettes cause they thought they looked cool. 1 week of smoking a couple per day and they have become addicted. At the age of 16-17 its a horrible habbit, because, cigarettes are not cheap and at that age they are hardly affordable. So my friends are now all addicted. And they will even tell you cigarettes are stupid but they cant stop. They all have tried and failed.
This is how if figure many people get started. Start young before they realize how dumb it is and then cant quit.

According to psychoanalytical theory, smoking becomes a habit when a person cannot get past the oral stage, which usually lasts from birth to age 1 or 2. In other words, they have a fixation on deriving pleasure through their mouths. It's a developmental thing, if any.

Super Question! Great that someone else, thinks that way. I've lost 5 Family Memebrs, due to smoking. SoYou know I've been asking that. Seriously? Don't remind them of the hazzards. Point out that their Family is gonna be left behind. If they continue to smoke. Keep up the good questions. that's how you raise awareness.

It is not stupid to start smoking. If you know of all the risks and still choose to do so, it is your own choice to make. It is a poor decision and careless, but not stupid.

One not stupid to start smoking its a bad habbit and it easily catches anybody. Eat small bananna every half an hour and your desire for tobaco & its smell would be nausiating.
