Is it possible to deactivate the tyre pressure sensors on a 52 plate Renault Laguna Sports Tourer (Estate). Each time a new tyre is needed I end up at a Renault dealership. Can they be disabled, so that the Service light goes off on the dash?

you don't need to keep going to the dealership to get the correct tyres. I have a 52 plate Laguna myself and all i do is go to my local Tyre and exaust place and they fit me the new tyres with sensor on valve its by far cheaper.Strange as it is what i have noticed is if you put TOO much pressure in the tyre this will also give same warning even on cold mornings they might flash i do 100 miles on motorway and were back to normal, its because there so sensitive which is not a bad thing if the flash your tyres will not be flat even when the big red STOP your tyres will still have around 10psi in them.

They should be fixed, not deactivated. Normally, once you put the new tire and the pressure inside the tire reaches the normal pressure, the sensor should shut down the light on your dashboard.
Disabled, yes. Go to the dealership and ask them to simply remove them. (You might also want to check if they are not powered through a separate fuse - if they are, simply pull the fuse out).

I had a Renault Laguna v6 /3.0/ 2003 and I had all kind of trouble with this unreliable car. I sold it with a big loss but am happy to get red of it.
