Theres this guy i really like but he lives 2 hours from me - he says that he finds me physically actractive and likes me alot but that he wouldnt get involved with me because of the distance but he doesnt mind meeting up for a drink every now and again? He clearly cant like me that much or surely he wouldnt use distance as an excuse? Men and womens' views on this would be much appreciated.

We have known each other since we met on holiday in April 2005 - he was with someone then and has been until 2 weeks ago - they had been together for 6 years. I didnt start to have feelings for him until March 2006. We then met up in July/October and November. I stupidly slept with him. (him and his girlfriend were on a break October but decided not to get back together). I just think if he got to know me as he has said he doesnt really know me as we've only met 3 times then we could be good together

I believe that he truly is not that interested. If he were, he would make an effort. He IS using distance as an excuse. Move on.

He's not interested, he's using the distance as an excuse. He's also just come out of a long term relationship. If you do try to get involved you're going to end up getting hurt. Try to keep away from him for a while, go out and meet other people. Good Luck.

Hi annais24

I really don't think it is healthy to carry on with this (whatever this is?) it clearly is not a relationship, it would appear that he has just used you for sex & dos'nt want anything more. look at how he has behaved with his former partner and ask yourself what would happen in the future? have respect for yourself & tell him where to go .. if your want company then get out find someone who shows you some respect in return
you sound quite young & I don't want to come across as harsh but the truth hurts sometimes.

Goodluck

I don't want to hurt your feelings but if he liked you that much, distance shouldn't be a problem. Best forget him and find someone who doesn't make excuses

try not to be ued whenever he feels the need. the distance shouldn't make a difference really its just another obsticle but it can still work if he really wants you.

ever heard they phrase "special friend"? sounds to me that he just wants a bit of fun now and again.
If you can cope with that enjoy but if not tell him to take a hike
