Hey! I think that when you ask people questions this late, the have no idea what is a rational response. I will get thumbed down all day if I express any feeling after 10 pm my time. Have you noticed how many racist losers creep out after dark?

It would be much more simpler and compassionate when everyone respects the beliefs of others.
Everyone is going to hold certain amounts of differences as to beliefs etc. I do not see the purpose ( compassion, respect) when there is an attack on another individuals personal beliefs ( including saying there belief is wrong, etc.)
If more people would view things by looking for similarities instead of differences there maybe some surprises discovered.

It is important to give sound advice to a person who seeks it. if a person is not capable of doing so, then they need to leave the question alone. Concerning the book of choice, it is important to read the principle book of your faith for guidance, which is why it has been written. It is not about being good, it is about being faithful.

its not nice when people do as you say. i have had the same thing happen to me. people need to take this site seriously instead of being mean or perverted. other wise get off. as far as the Bible question, not sure what your asking. religion is man made from people there is only one way to God and its not thru religion or a church. Jesus said I am the way the truth and the light. thru Jesus is the only way to God/ he came down and died for us. God loves us so much that he sent his only son to shed his blood for us. there are many religions that take the bible and twist it or add to it or take away. there is only one road to God and thats thru his son. hope this helped

There are a lot of immature people here who don't concern themselves with the feelings of others, so occasionally you get very harsh and thoughtless answers given to people who might genuinely be seeking help.

You shall surely be tried in your possessions, and your persons, and you shall surely hear many hurtful things from those who were given the Book before you, and from those who set up equals to Allah. But if you show patience and fortitude and act righteously, that indeed is a matter of high resolve.

Post the link to the question and let us read it for ourselves, then I can give you a better answer.
As to the other question, reading the Bible is more important to me than following the rituals and rites of some named "religion." That's why I call myself a Christian, not a Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, etc etc
