My boyfriend says that my male friend just wants to have sex one day and he hates him. He says that a man cant be friends with a woman without sex coming into it from one person or the other. I think it is possible and I get on better with guys. Surely platonic relationships exist without sex??

Yes, you can be friends without sex. Most of my friends are guys and we are purely platonic. I think it is just your boyfriend showing you that he is a little insecure in the relationship. You just need to encourage him and make sure that he knows he is the special 'guy' for you.

Your boyfriend is an insecure idiot. I have had many guy friends who are more like brothers then anything. That is a good sign that you are not with the right guy though if he doesn't trust you and makes you chose between friends you previously had and him. Choice your friend. Me and my husband both have friends of the opposite sex and have become friends with each others friends. Hey we are both still friends with our ex-boyfriends and girlfriends but because we trust each other and know that they are just friends it isn't an issue.
I think people get so focused on sex lately. Like we are all such animals that we can't help but fall into bed with anyone who looks at us the right way. I am guessing that your boyfriend is like that and that is why he thinks you your friend wants to sleep with you, because he would try and sleep with his female friends.

There is a possibility that your friend does think about sex with you, BUT he could also be just as happy to be your friend without wanting to get into your panties (if you wear any)... :D

well I think yes but if your the female you have to be carefull you don't get emotional women show more emotion than men and that can get in the way of a friendship if we start to care a little to much for the other person and they don't feel the same.

Yes you can. I have many female friends where sex is not involved. You will probably think about it once or twice, but it doesn't mean you will act on it. It is common for the human to want to mate.

yes it can just keep the friendship at a strictly friendly manner and try not to make sex jokes or lead him the wrong way. And you obviously control the situation IF he is about sex- you simply keep your clothes on .

It is definatly possible, but the physical (and natural) attraction is always there.
One must keep his body under control.
The problem with that nowadays is that life has become easier in some way.
People get what they want faster.
If your hungry, you get food, if your thirsty, you get a beverage.
This teaches your body that it gets whatever it wants, whenever it wants.
So when dealing with relations you must be careful always.
