How long does it usually take to get your bonus. My son is in the Army and told me he reinlisted and is suppose to get a bonus. He has been borrowing money from me against this. Its been two months. Has he been duping me?

Bonus' are usually paid within 30 days and they are paid by direct deposit. A person will receive half up front and the remainder will be divided over the course of the remaining years. An easy way to check is to look at his Leave and Earnings statement.

I got a bonus once for re-enlisting. I got 50% at the end of the month. That was a few years ago, and military finance is always jaxed up. Tough situation to be in for a father...

My husband is a Career Counselor/Retention...Which means he re-enlist soldiers. Usually the bonus will be put into his pay check in about 2-3 months. If it has been longer than that he needs to talk to finance and or the Re Up NCO.

No, I don't think so. With no Budget in place it is taking longer than usual [in some cases] If he re-upped then depending on his MOS he [should] get his bonus.

on the norm it takes 30 days but it could take longer depending on the situation.

Usually 3 months i believe,if he hasn't got it, he hasn't got it.
