All of the above can happen yes.
But we can also safely say that some survival plans may save some of us, develop technology to create colonies in other planets, build self sustaining nuclear bomb proof shelters/cities, man made mini tectonic plates having nuclear propulsion, evasive maneuvers against direct meteorite hits, life sustaining protocols etc.
Now if we can only get started...

The nuclear industry might have been dumping it's waste in the sun and it will go bang. Bit like the superman movie, but with the laws of phyisics and no superman.

We were put on this earth to destroy it which we are doing a good job at.I think our demise will be global warming or nuclear war.How sad eh?
