I wanted to get it done on my arm:
the meaning i was looking for should be:
May your strength be firm
Protect my heart
is the hebrew translation correct to the English?

Both sentences are erroneous...
The first one is syntactically wrong. It says: might your power be strong.
"may your strength be firm" is שכוחך יהיה חזק(shekochacha yihiyeh chazak), but it is a bit colloquial.
The best translation is ישר כוחך (yeshar kochacha).
The second one says: you will protect my heart.
If you want the verb "protect" in its imperative form (protect my heart), it should be הגן על לבי (hagen al libi)

i vaguely understand it as "may all ur strengths be strong, and protect on my heart". sorry thats all i understand, maybe if u tell me where its from i can see it in context. i agree with the other answers though, i wouldnt get a tattoo of this unless you want it to say this translation (also "yasher koach" has come to mean basically congrats)

the first sentence does not make sense - it means "your strength can be strong"
the second sentence means - "protect my heart"
