I'm sure i'm over my crush because... although I still think of him... I no longer have this romantic feeling towards him.
Today a guy friend talked to me about my crush and I told him that i don't like him anymore... My friend then responded: " old love hard to die"
How true is this? I mean... i don't feel that way anymore... but do we never truely get over people we've liked before? is he meaning that i'm subconsciously still liking him by thinking of him although not romantically?

no, i don't think you are. if you were over this guy, it wouldn't bother you if other people say you 'are' or 'are not'. you'd simply just move on and not take the time and effort to find answers from a few million other people whether you are or not! if you are confused about it, then clearly you are not over him ... all you're doing is trying to convince yourself and everyone else that you are. anyway ... that just my opinion for what it's worth, you need to figure this one out for yourself, without denying your own feelings to yourself.

Depending on how long the two of you have been together and if he was your first crush. If he was your very first crush then yes they are hard to get over and they seem to take the longest. But you do get over them. I am sure you are over him as far as wanting to be with him as a couple but you will always hold a place in your heart for him. That is normal so don't let your friend tell you you are not over him only you know the answer to that. Best of luck to you.

You will honestly truly get over this guy, it make take along long time, but it will happen. You can still think about someone you liked but you will start to think about him less and less and then not at all. Sometimes something will remind you but you will soon realise that you don't feel anything anymore. I always thought I would feel for someone but after a long time, I don't and its great kind of a release and feeling of free.

hey,first of all u should lear to believe in ur self if u think u'v gotten over him then u hv.ur friend is right coz there is such a sayin but it all depends on the human mind.u may wonder sometimes bout ur feelin toward ur crush but its only fasination if u hv sleepless nites n cant think bout any1 else but him then may be u still have felin fr him otherwise u dont.in the end the decision is up 2 u.ask urself hw u really feel bout him n ull get ur answer!!!!

Not necessarily. Every person you meet and have a relationship creates a memory. It's almost impossible to control how your memory works emotionally.
It was a crush and you will move on. It will happen many times before wisdom and experience lead you to the right one.
