think of puppies like infants. everytime you think about it take the dog out side. everytime they wake up, after they eat, after they are done playing. and when the go give then a bunch of good boys or girls. then when you take then inside give them a dog treat. my dog goes out just so he can get his bone when he comes inside.

The way I have been doing this for the past 20 some years is that I regulate when he's fed, not just leaving it on the floor. When he 's done eating I put the food and water up, it seems by my experience water is the activator , then ( this might sound weird) I say bathroom. then take the dog out side. This way it will associate words with job. Puppies like company, just remember you are it's mother know. You may have to do this ever hour but it won't take much more than a week. As long as you're persistent. As of right now I have 3 labs and a Pom. in the house and all I have to say is need to go to the bathroom, and they will beat me to the back door if they have to go, if not they will just lye there. And they are just 4 of the last 15 dogs I have had to train.

The best way is to get a house training crate for your puppy.Get one that is not to big.The puppy should only have enough room to lie sit and stand in the crate.Line it with white paper.Take the puppy outside or to a puppy pad to potty when you take him out right after it wakes up and right after it eats and give it praise when it goes.Smaller puppies have to go more often then large breeds. The rule is for every month of age it can wait only two hours before it needs to be taken out to potty.Never let your puppy run around the house unsupervised.Limit playtime to about 30 min and only after he has been out to potty.Feed him on a schedule. When you take him out to potty use a simple word such as potty or go now each time .He will learn to go on command .There is no fast or easy way to do this.It takes time.

by using a crate and also taking the puppy out after it eats, plays or wakes up from a sleep. if is does not go when you put it then bring it back and put it in the crate for a lilttle bet and try again. be very attentive to the puppy actions.

Crate him when you are gone out. When home bring him out often. If caught peeing, pick him up and quickly bring him outside. Never, never, never, stick his nose in it and say "bad boy". His brain will start to think that peeing is a bad thing. He is only a puppy.
