we'd always call each other, send each other sweet messages via text, during the day, but after three months it just started declining. I really like this girl and we are both serious, but I am not really sure what to do, because I don't want to lose her....

when you go on a roller coaster ride, you get a major thrill right? but when you put your feet back on the ground you still have the after effect of how great it was and continue to feel that way about that moment - sometimes you think, wow that was fun and still enjoy it even although you are not on it anymore... same with relationships when they first start out - the thrill is great, but when you come back to 'reality', either you still feel good about it and continue with the relationship because that feeling of feeling good is still there even although your feet are back on the ground. if you do not feel good about it afterwards, then maybe the ride wasn't that great afterall and soon forget about it. it all depends on how you feel about her RIGHT NOW - life is not always a joyride - you guys got on great on the rollercoaster, can you continue to be great together in other situations? In the beginning you are still getting to know each other, hence all the sms's, phonecalls etc. now that you know each other better, there appears to be nothing left to say ... but there is ... move forward in your relationship ... with more meaning. you cannot stay stuck on the rollercoaster ride because you will inevitably get sick!!! good luck...

Talk to her about this ... is she feeling this decline in interest too, or is it something you might be imagining? Perhaps its time to take another step in the relationship as well ... that could be a reason why you are seemingly stagnant. Fix up a romantic night out for the two of you ... candlelight, good food, good wine. Talk to her over dinner and see if you can figure things out. If you don't want to lose each other, being honest is the only way. Maybe together you can come out with something to make it work!
Good Luck!

What you are going through is NORMAL, hun!

In every new relationship, you are so sweet, and lovie dovie, you say sweet things, you constantly hug and kiss, you jsut can't get enough of each other. Because it's a new relationship.

But eventually the lovie dovie part of every relationship wears off, then you have to really be in love and really respect that person, or it usually doesn't last.

The sweet, loving, hugging, kissing stuff feels really good!! But after you break through all that, what is underneath?

I think you and your lady will do just fine. You just have to get together more often, and have conversations, learn more about each other, and keep the love alive.

Good Luck.

There's always some fading after the initial thrill. Do things to break up your routine, like going to new places or starting a new hobby together. If it's going to last you'll still have a connection now that the "honeymoon" phase is over.

honeymoon period is over now starts the hard work. thats what happens and if your feeling like this now after only 3 months i think you should talk to her and ask her how she feels about where you are going. you never know she may feel the same.
