Okay, you are an idiot. Why is this? Because #1, because Microsoft does not have ms-dos availble for download, nor will they ever host such a thing on their website for free. And as for it being slow, putting a 16yr old + os is just going to make matters worse, because the hard ware will "NOT" be natively supported by windows 95, nor will I doubt there will be drivers availble for your hardware, and with your "Expertise" level being on here saying you downloaded ms-dos I doubt you will be able to find the drivers needed for it. If you wish to continue with installing win95, insert the win95 cd into your pc, set your bios to startup from the Cd-drive, then click setup from pc, after a few minutes, it will load to a dos prompt, which you will do then a FDISK, delete all current partitions on the hdd, and make a clean Fat16 partiton (or Fat32 if you have the OEM disc), then restart pc, start from the cd drive again and type in "Format C: /s" this will take approximtley close to a hour or more to format a hard-drive, after it is done, then type in "MD windows", then "Cd windows", then "MD options". then "Cd options" then "MD cabs" then "CD cabs", then type in "D:", then type in "Cd win95", then type in "copy *.* C:\windows\options\cabs", this will take some time to do, then after it is done, type in "C:", then type in "Setup.exe" and it should load to a blue screen, pop the win95 cd out, and follow the onscreen instructions.

You probably need to go into your BIOS and set it so that it boots from the Windows 95 CD prior to trying the hard disk.

There is no dos in windows xp. However, you can go to the command prompt by going to start> run> and typing cmd.exe.
