You need to read the label, you are assuming it says 2% milk, because that is what people have been calling it, but that is not what the carton says -- it is quite clear what it is.

It is just short-hand. In fact, you will see on the label also explained that it is 2% fat content milk - it means that full fat milk has been slightly skimmed. 0% will be completely skimmed.

its a generalised concept....it means the milk contains 2% of natural fat...else we call it as skimmed milk...the 6.5% milk is called full creme milk and 4% is called tonned milk
