balanced source of essential vitamins, including 60mg of Vitamin C, which is 100% of the RDA. ... now the pill is tiny, really small (remember this fact for later)
I also have some Vitamin C tablets, these too are 60mg, and are 100% of the RDA, yet the tablet is the size of a small rodent, and jolly difficult so swallow.
So this is my question, how can one tablet be so large, yet the one which is a multi vitamin and has hundreds of bloody vitamins in it, and iron, can be so small eh? answer me that one smart arrses!

vitamins in tablets are hardly ever fully used (ur body may absorb 70% of all these nutrients at the most) this is why nutritionists always tell you not to ignore the natural vitamins in food. This is because your body will digest the food and use the energy from it, and any vitamins it may contain.

Now for your question, it really could be a number of things.
1. Bigger pill gives illusion of more nutrients.
2. Bigger one is coated to be disguised as food substance for better absorbtion.
3. Thats just the way the company manufactures it.

To be honest though, that really isn't that much vitamin C. A glass of orange juice has 120% of the recommended daily dosage. Also if you want more vitamin C, there's a new competitor to Airborn called, Emergen-C, which contains 1,000 mg of Vitamin C. Good stuff, eh?

Because the am mounts of vitamins needed for your RDA are tiny and would probably represent a much smaller pill but need fillers so u can see it! vitamin c tabs probably represents different manufacturers and personal taste.some people feel the need for their pills to be huge to do any good

Your large pill will have some inert substance such as chalk to pad it out. Are you sure your large Vit C pill is to be swallowed and not sucked? In my experience large Vit C pills are usually orange flavoured to make them palatable for children

Simple...padding! The vits alone would give a pill the size of a full stop so they pad em out to make you think you are getting more for you money!;
