Even though you are not american citizen you can join the Army. After you have spent a few years in the Army you will be granted citizenship.

i don't know if its still that easy .i know that it was working b4. Some years ago (after 9/11 i think 2003 or 04 )there was that guy in Germany (he was not german ,just stationed there with the US-Army )who joined the us-army as a foreigner .and he planned to blow the whole base up with his gf or wife (she worked for AAFES on base ). They found out about the plan ,because the female warned some ppl to come on base on that very day. It was a big thing in Germany and they said they gonna change the law about foreigners which want to join the US-Army . But i am not 100% sure .
Good luck
It was one of the bases in Mannheim .But i forgot the name :(
Have mercy, my english is bad because i am a german

Yes, but you must have an interview to basically decide if its a risk to beable to make you a citizen. But your draw back, you are too old. They usually dont take anyone ovet the age of 27 ish. 31 is way to old to join our army i can almost bet you. Look it up. But yesto you question. My friend just did ita month ago, as soon as boot camp is done with hes finally gonna be a citizen after 13 years of living here.

Well, asking the army is a better idea than asking all of us. Go to the US Army page and find out. What country are you from ? It probably is not a good time to join the armed forces. We are in a war ya know. Is your life worth the risk, America isnt all its spouted out to be !!!!!!! We are not free any longer. Hell we dont even choose our own presi DENT !!

Sometimes the US military does allow non-U.S. citizens to join the military. I've heard about some non-citizens being allowed to become citizens after joining the military. But, unfortunately, it is done posthumously. So, if you're willing to die, then you may become a citizen.

It works the other way. You have to become a citizen first before you can enlist in the army.

You won't get American nationality, but if you qualify I think it will put you on the fast track to citizenship.
