I have a Comcast cable box and I wanted to know how I can hook up my Home DVD recorder to my cable box, to my VCR so I can record my VHS tapes to A DVD on my home DVD recorder? Please, anyone help me out I tried almost everything!!!!

That's pretty easy, on the back of Your Comcast Cable Box there's 2- sets of outputs; S-Vhs and RCA. If Your Video Deck has S-Vhs inputs, go directly from the S-Vhs output into the S-Vhs input on the back of the Deck (this is for Picture only) then run a pair of Cables from the Audio Output of the Cable Box to the Audio Input of the Deck. Make sure You have Your Deck on Aux Input or the designated Channel needed to view Inputs. Next, from the A/V Output from the rear of the Deck, run a S-Vhs Cables and Audio Cables to the Input of the DVD Recorder (if Your Video Deck doesn't have S-Vhs use the Monitor (Yellow) Circuit. During Recording to the DVD, have the DVD Input to Aux or Input and You should be able to record without problems

Press record. Make sure your VCR's audio cables are connected to your DVR and voila!

here's what i would do i would buy an ipod and kill it in front of it and it will be scared and work... thats what i would do... jk lol sorry but i dont know much about ipods (and other things) because i broke mine and now im an ipod killer... sorry i couldn't help you... just trying to brighten your day with a good laugh... well i hope u get ur problem fixed...
