I hate it when guys say "I dont get jelous", I would like a guy to get a litle jelous to show he cares. What is the point of saying it anyways?

That's a mixed message. Its sort of the male version of the "I like nice guys" thing.

Women say that and believe it. Sometimes they really do like nice guys, sometimes they mean they actually go for bad boys wanting to turn them into nice guys. (beauty and the beast syndrome) Make us guys left saying "Huh?"

Same thing here I think. "I don't get jealous." Then there will come a time when he does get jealous or is jealous but covers it up and seems upset with you or a friend of yours for no reason. Makes you girls left saying "Huh?"

I guess we are just telling people what we want them to hear, what we think they want us to say, what we believe to be true when its not or are truly being honest.

Hard to tell which of the four is correct on a case by case basis - you're left just guessing. Both genders do this in their own way.

Also, both genders try to protect themselves from getting hurt. Unfortunately, in the process, both parties end up feeling like crap way too often. All is fair in love and war they say. Pull pin and throw - do it right and you archive your goal, mess up and it rips your heart out.

I'd caution you though. I think jealousy can be a dangerous emotion to play with. "A little jealous" can escalate into an argument. Once that's happens, its not about you any more, its about protecting his own reputation - you are invading my turf! (seen it happy enough times - both men and women alike) From there is can become an all out fight. (seen that too - both men and women alike)

That's kind of a crappy position to intentionally put someone in.
