Look for one that has no fees, only interest, then look for things like interest free periods, and a low overall interest rate, not one that charges you more for cash advance or has different interest rates for different types of purchases.

Credit cards are notorious for fine print, and if you don't read it, it will cost you $$$

ICICI has these aadvantages..... they dont charge any annual fees and they have branches all across the country and u can make your payments etc. any where.
I am unaware of annual charges by HSBC, but they are not present in many cities and u might have trouble meeting up with them. Regarding the other charges and interests all companies are equally bad.

Again you cannot compare a debit and credit card usage. If your account is full of money then u dont have to think of credit card.
Use the credit card for emergencies, convenience etc. and do not use it as if u were getting something free.

If you can gather information on annual payments, interest charges, cash withdrawal and its interest, other charges or service charge of both the cards, then u can compare them.

If the purpose of the credit card is only for applying tickets online, then u should think of the netbanking facility provided by ICICI.

ICICI. I have HSBC for my checking and savings (well, not anymore as I'm switching to another bank) but they have managed to make a few mistakes, so I'd trust ICICI before I'd trust HSBC

You DON'T need a credit card to buy tickets online.
Apply for net banking facility with ICICI.

Credit cards charge you irrational interest rate 2.5% to 3% per month.

It is advisable to have only one credit card. The best thing to do is to make payments before the due dates so that you can avoid late fee and other charges which tend to be exhorbitantly high !!!

Get a debit card instead, which requires a bank account. It's much safer, credit cards get out of control easily and, trust me, it's not much fun to dig yourself out of debt.

Any thing is fine. But only if you able to pay the money with out fail. Otherwise, they will charge hefty fine as well as interest also.
