I love the name Mickey for my baby (due April) but I've had a mixed response from people I've told and want to ask you guys.

Alot of people assume I will call him Michael and shorten it to Mickey (which is what my mum wants me to do) but me and my partner prefer just Mickey - What do you think?

I think Mickey is a great name for a mouse.

I had a cousin named Claude Michael and everyone called him Mickey when he was growing up. Now he prefers C.J. (His first and last initials)

Mickey might be a cute name for a baby, but have you thought that your baby will one day be a grown man? Your mum might be onto something, at least Michael will be a name that he will find easier to live with when he is older.

My son's name is Stuart, but everyone calls him Munch, its cute now, but when he is older it won't be so cute, but then people will probably call him by his first name and not his nickname.

Its your baby, do what you want. Do you think he will like that name when he is older? This is a question you might want to think about. I know for the longest time a hated my first name. Now its just my middle name...Esther. By the way...I do like the name as a nick name. Good Luck!!

you call him what you want and if someone starts giving him a nickname...let them know you do not aprove. I named my baby Xavied Hayden and the inlaws started calling him Hayden. I let them know that his name is Xavier and Hayden is a middle name and If I wanted him called Hayden that would have been his first name. You should not be asking other ppl what good names are for YOUR baby. Thats silly, this is YOUR kid no one elses. Talk it over with your hubby or boyfriend or babies daddy. This should be special..you get to name your very one baby! Scew what other ppl think

Personally i don't like it, but you can't please everyone!
You choose the name and bring your child up the way you and your partner think is best.
You both like Mickey? Call your child Mickey!

Good luck with the birth!x
