there a few products i like, b/c i have the same thing happen to me every winter. i use Gold Bond ultimate healing lotion. it's in a white tube with a gold lid. also walmart has their own brand of eucerin cream (better than eucerin!) called Equate dry skin cream with added moisturizers. at bedtime, try getting your hands just a little bit damp with water, then put the moisturizer on your hands, then put either cotton socks or light cotton mittens over your hands. leave it on overnight, and your hands should feel great in the morning. However! if you have really really dry skin like me and you live somewhere with very dry air, then you will have to do this every night, and even then you will probably need to apply the mositurizer during the day several times (w/o the mittens). you can do this on your heels too, it's great. i get the bleeding cracks too, and believe it or not, if they are small like paper cuts, i put a tiny amount of super glue on them and squeeze them shut. once the air can't get to them, they stop hurting and start to heal. (a doctor gave me that advice, btw.)

That happens to me too, I use Cortizone 10 cream during the day that really helps. Or at night you can put this stuff I have also used called corn huskers I wore cloves at night you only have to do that for a few nights it really worked for me. Do stay away from those regular lotions they have alcohol in them that's why they burn AND make it worse. Good luck

My grandmother suffered with the same condition: psoriasis. I would get to a skin dr. asap, so you don't suffer anymore, b/c regular lotion won't touch the problem.

Yes the previous poster to go to the chemist or Doctor is good advice. This is not a normal condition and you need professional advice.

Find a mosturizer with shea butter in it. Or, try seeing a dermatologist; they can prescribe a lotion that can help.

Your skin is probably really sensative. I'd go to a pharmasist and ask for their advice on which cream is best to use.
