hi ive had a canary and we had a cat named simba and he sneaks in my room and try to eat my bird and he frights the living out of my bird and my bird died of fright (sob) so yes they do die of fright!

Yes they can. I've seen a bird die after being caught by a cat but not injured in any way by the cat. It can be instant (heart attack) or delayed.

Yes indeed. They have heart attacks triggered by extreme fright. The species most vulnerable (fragile) tend to be the Australian grass 'keets including but not limited to rosella's. My friend's rosella had a heart attack when she attempted to clip it's toenails.

Very much so especially if its a wild bird you have saved & in that case put it in a quite place away from everyone until it settles down & then take it to a vet
