Although it's not strictly "in my lifetime," it's pretty close - and I'd say that the Internet has made my life so much better - I use this tool daily for both information and enjoyment and can't imagine what life would be like without it.
The invention that I'd say has caused the most hassle in my lifetime is the cellular phone. I've never really been fond of phones (I have enjoyed long conversations on them with a few select friends, true, but I hate not knowing who is calling - wondering if it's someone trying to sell me something, etc.). And cellular phones have just provided a means for people to reach you in all times and places. What a headache!

All the obvious stuff like the internet (for email, bill paying, etc..) and cell phones. The microwave was a good one, we got our first one when I was a kid and it took up most of the counter space, but we got one later on, around the mid-80s. Before that, my mom made my 'TV dinners' in the oven and it took at least 45min. CDs were a great invention because all my tapes ended up getting warped or they would snap from over playing them. I thought the sound quality was so amazing.

I actually got up and walked around all of the rooms in my home to look around before answering this question. A lot has been invented since 1965. It is definitely the microwave oven. I remember the hassle of having to dirty pots and pans every time I wanted to warm something up. Perhaps the frost-free freezer would be my second choice---either that or the remote control!

I broke the wrist of my right hand and being a right handed person I found it extremely difficult to do anything with my left hand, even the most simple tasks of brushing my hair or using a toothbrush. Someone got me a battery operated toothbrush and to me that was the greatest invention of all time.

Yes, I know what you mean. I love the air conditioning on a hot, miserable day myself. You can cook nearly anything in a microwave, so I like that invention too, like you do.Good night!

each and every lengthy distance communication replaced into constantly nicely theory out - yet there have been fewer of them, I wager human beings did lots extra travelling traveling relatives and such - particularly of purely calling them on the telephone. that could have been extra suited, yet i like modern-day-day technologies too lots to assert issues could have been extra suited than modern-day.
