Man... there is this song I love about this situation.. Unfortunately its a Greek one so I dont think you'll get the lyrics.. Its called "Gia na se Ekdikitho" (To Get Back on You)
I will try to translate it for you...
To get back on you
I tear apart your pictures,
me and you are just pieces
in street corners and squares
I burn your letters
in my fever
and i erase your name
along with mine
To get back on you
i throw away gifts and mementos
me and you are just broken pieces
I tear away your paintings,
your favorite posters
and i paint all the curtains
with the colour you hated
To cure the wounds that never close
Since i never got you out of my life
(it goes on repeating the above...)
There is not a person i know that does not feel better with this song.. As I said a translation is the only thing I can give you now...

Believe it or not, pain is good. Without pain, there would be no art. :) If you like to make art of any kind, now is the time to work on something. Use that pain for the incredible inspiration that it is. Right now it's horrible, but when it's over, the pain you're feeling today will deepen you as a human being. Hard to believe, I know. You probably don't even care right now. But take my word for it, someday you will have more understanding and compassion for people. It's called emotional growth, and I promise you, it will eventually all be worth it.

I'm sorry to know that... well my guy pals always says that to lessen the pain that you feel on those kinds of situations, all you have to do is celebrate the girl's bad traits... that way you'll see that you haven't lost something great... but as for me, i say that let time pass...remember that there are no wounds that time cannot heal.... secondly, think that what had happened to you was a lesson, and whatever that lesson might be, it is important that you find it out...coz that's how we learn... lastly, i say to you, reminisce the good times you've had and be thankful that you've experienced them... don't be this "sad guy who's currently buried six feet under and tends to remain there until he dies"... you'll only hurt yourself more... remember that mourning on someone who past away won't bring life to the dead.... I say, get up and go find yourself a healthy hobby...who knows? maybe you'll meet the real deal someday...
GOOD LUCK!!!

Personal growth and having a new outlook on life are what most ppl would recomend.
I personally would recomend self medicating and staying locked indoors for a few months.
Cheating hurts like hell. Sorry your GF's a b*tch.

Nothing. Grief happens in five stages.
1. Denial and Isolation.
2. Anger.
3. Bargaining.
4. Depression.
5. Acceptance.
Time will heal all wounds, until then, stay busy and active.

As has been said, keep yourself busy. The worst you can do is sit at home and think about it, that will drive you insane. Surround yourself with friends and family, be with people who care for you, do things you enjoy. Life's a *****, just like your girlfriend.
