I am a die-hard Alpine fan.

I just think their equipment loox clean, it all flows well together.. you can put together a great package at a fairly reasonable price and they have several different levels of quality in their line depending on how far you wanna be invested in this thing...

To me, the superior range of options kind of says it all...

As far as sound goes I'd say that Alpine and Kenwood are fairly well matched except that Alpine leans harder towards car audio strictly whereas Kenwood does home systems as well...

But anyways, I love Alpine. Haven't had any trouble with em.

It depends on what your needs are. If you are looking for an iPod ready unit, Alpine is definitely the way to go. Alpine is the only unit with a direct link to the iPod, which delivers ultra fast loading. If you don't have an Ipod, choose Kenwood. I have found Kenwood units hit harder than other brands.

I'll answer this question honestly...Pioneer's are prob. the best radio on the market for whatever you are looking for, i've had a pioneer radio of some sort for almost 6 years now and never had any problems....i know people that have had kenwood and alpines and have had to send them back to the company many times!
