Looking to the current trend and the questions asked by teenagers, do you believe that it will help the youngster to understand what love is, and what sex is and when can they are ready for it?
Like medical students go through rigorous training before doing a operation, don't you feel a (theoritical) training and knowledge of Love & sex should be imparted?

We do agree that love initiates from heart, but today the youngsters are finding it very difficult to differentiate between Love and Lust.
Can we not help them to improve their skills to know what Love is, and what is Lust?

This one is for agni.
If you compare past with present, than there was no need to invent computers, there was no need for Television, and so on and so forth, humans survived without them.
If you talk about past, Kamasutra is one of the ancient subject which was then taught in schools in ancient India. Why not revisit that. We think we need to come out of our narrow mindedness.
Some pleople never ever visit many subjects they foolishly learn in schools, but love and sex are part of live which you need for rest of your life. Do you agree?
Some times we don't even remember the subjects that were taught to us in schools and colleges, but wasted our time on them instead of developing our skills on one subject. Do you agree?

"Silly. What they will teach about love"
Then why the hell are you answering so many questions on Love and Sex?
Double standards?
You want to teach people about love and sex on this community by answering but do not want them to go to school and learn??

Absolutely. But the reason there are so many questions asked about it by youngsters is because their parents don't want it. I think Yahoo is a terrible place to learn to grow up.

yes at least what is healthy and what is exactly wrong is to be known
and it is the right of the person to know about the safeties of it
of course we had this education in our class 10 in 1980 so why not
now we now feel that we had a good knowledge of it in those days
what wrong especially girls should know and can behave accordinglly
we have many articles on it as they are actually being harrassed by the real
known people like relatives near and dear some times
which they should know that it is wrong
increased use of condoms and others is not the real development or
we should think that we have educated our youth much
its not to that level
we should have it to the level of real science requirement
and also they should be given the real knowledge of the end life of
those who never were leading a safe life
show the dangers and deseases also of the wrong sex and wrong knowledge
any way i am the strong supporter of having sex education in schools make our youngsters safe and more powerful
and they never be the victims of evil deeds

There is a HUGE difference between Love & sex and Lust & sex!!

Without a true loveing relationship sex is just something that passes the time and gets your filling for what? a whole 24 hours if your lucky?

But with love it is somehing that takes two souls and they become one for mere moments. And there is something to smile about and look forward to, Something that connects you on a deeper lvl. Sex without love is like grass to a fish! Its not needed it just looks nice while they swimpast it. It might help scratch an itch but after the itch is gone there is no need for it anymore!

So yes I think they should teach Love & sex as a combined thing. I am going to try to teach my kids that. I think it will be very difficult for people to do but it is worth it... And it is worth it when the one you love falls in love and Makes Love for themselves!

No need to discuss this issue openly. You are having more aveneus to get the knowledge about this subject. Was there any need in the past, then what is the need today. In place of that learn more sports activities during schooling & college period. Love & sex is not a subject, which requires deep study like maths & other subjects. It is a small part / lesson.

Yes. it is a must these days; otherwise the youngsters can easily go astray and suffer one day or other to some extent or more. Better prevent than cure. Also, the knowledge of such sensitive subject should be taught by matured and knowledgeable persons.

I think there is a point in giving sex education. But the orientation should be for proper dissemination of knowledge and not to vulgarise it. It should be as professional as the medico is taught the anatomy of a human body. Do neither mystify sex nor vulgarise it.

totally you're absolutely right! if this was covered in school every1 wouldnt hav to go around discussing it secretly with close friends or going on sex-related websites. it's an important part of life as shown by tv, films, magazines n books so it shd definitely b on the syllabus. loads of schools hav sex on the syllabus but not love anymore...which is just not good enough because it gives kids the impressions that sex is important and real but love is not important it's just one of those things that some ppl claim happens to them. so i think you're absolutely right!

yes this generation is fast they should know the difference between love n sex. they should get some awareness about the consequences n nowadays children think they have fallen in love but it is not the real love they r just in teens n they feel they know wht it is they wont listen to their parents so they should be given some info abt the real issues in theory in the school because they enter this falling in love stage then itself

It is sad that Indian parents wont teach their kids such things..but if they dont, then it becomes the responsibility of the school to teach this to the kids. I completely agree with what you have said. Although I dont think "taught" is the right word to say it. I would use the word "guide".

Silly. What they will teach about love. Love and affection is an attitude and that gets developed by time and under the influence of family members.
Sex is a desire and humans learn it automatically.
Thought of including it in sylabus is a fantasy.
