i'm 18, just started my job and I really don't find it interesting. I get upset easy, and don't remember the last time I felt happiness. I always think negatively. I think life is pointless. I feel like i'm always making other people feel bad/hurt. I always dwell on the past (negative things) I lose desires, goals easily. I think of death, and feelsuicide is sometimes an option (i'd never do it but - I am an (orthodox) christian and I know the consequences - my belief is the only thing keeping me going. I could go on, but I think it's obvious already lol. Basically, I don't like myself and my life and i'm getting used to this, and it's also having an effect on my family too.
I'm not always like this, but most of the time I have a fair few of those problems with me all the time.
Sorry for the massive post! could someone give me some helpful advice, thank you so much in advance!

You've already taken the first step: identifying the problem.
Why don't you try charity? Try donating money and services to the under privileged. It really helps you feel better, and when you see so many people lesser blessed than you, it makes you realise that you shouldn't be cribbing at all.
Try doing nice things to others. Decide that you WILL make one person happy everyday and spend time deciding who it will be and how you can make that person happy,.. planning a surprise, doing a chore. Write it down in a diary.
Its addictive, and soon you will find that its more exciting to think about how to make others happy than dwell on past unhappy events. :-) Most importantly, smile at everyone, it makes them fell good, and makes you feel great

Hi, hon. I am sorry you are feeling badly. You are at a difficult stage in life, between being considered a 'kid' and an adult. You didn't mention whether you live with your parents or not, so I am assuming that you do, but don't talk to them. You sound like you have alot of issues and thoughts going thru your mind, and it is weighing heavily on you.
I think you should see a counselor, therapist or, since you are religious, a member of the church you can talk to. I'm sure you have a regular doc, as well, and it might be easier to discuss your feelings with him/her, and let them refer you to an appropriate counselor or therapist.
Good luck to you, sorry I couldn't be of more help. There are always anonymous support/discussion groups on the internet, as well. Just do a google or yahoo search for groups.

Sweetie, I'm sorry. The teen years suck, I know. How is your prayer life? Every morning, every night? The Jesus Prayer (this would be a really good one when you are at work and not loving it)? When was the last time you went to confession or just talked to your priest?
Prayer is a big part of how we get closer to God in this life.
It may be a time of tests for you. What you need to do is draw closer to God. Ask Him to write His will on your heart. Ask that He help you to work hard because it is your job (Honor your F/M = employer, too, just like murder is more than just that.).
And if the job is not where you are supposed to be, ask that He help you to know and understand where you should be.
It sounds like work is going badly because you are in a bad place emotionally and spiritually. Let God work on you from the inside out.
I'll say a prayer for you tonight.
P.S. The Screwtape Letters changed my life and showed me how the devil tries to get in.

Pray. Pray for peace in your heart and joy during your days. Take it one day at a time and find something that makes you happy and do it each day. Read a book. Listen to your favorite song while u drive to work. Its the small things in life that count. Don't let this world get the best of you even when it gets hard. God will NEVER put more on you than you can handle. Just look at it this way, He must really trust in you to give you all of these things. Just keep sending those prayers up!

You might want to consider talking with a counselor or with a member of the clergy about your unsettling thoughts and feelings. Don't keep them locked up inside you. It's better to talk about these things with someone who can offer you some honest and helpful and healing feedback.

Its all part of being a teenager. Your hormone are still crazy even if you are technically an adult. You'll grow out of it. If its out of control and your miserable all the time then you need to talk to a doctor to see if you have problems with depression,

sounds like you need a network of friends who believe the same way you do...don't let satan win this fight here, that is what he would love to do to you because you DO love God and Jesus...get some new friends and fill your life with helping others...and keep praying to get satan's thoughts out of your head,..when in doubt, give thanks for what you HAVE, not what you have not....GodBless
