It isn't about "mine" and "yours" there is only one God, and He revealed Himself to us in the Holy Bible. Everything else is idolatry.
If you just create a "god" in your head and then worship that, you're worshiping a false god.

If you want to find out if a stick is straight you have to put it up next to one that you know is perfectly straight in order to measure the straightness of the one in question. That’s the way it is with accepting God. If you don’t have something to measure what is true by then how can you know whether “your” God truly is God? He would just be a god. And there would be no difference between your God and a God. But praise the Lord God Almighty he has given us a way to measure what is true and that is the bible. God is spirit and he is logical. We are spiritual and logical beings. We have to read the bible as a logical and a spiritual book as well. When we do we are able to see the God who gave us the bible as a way to measure the truth so that we know that it's him we are accepting.

The difference is which God you accept. Don't get tricky with this question. Simply, just accept God.

my personal opinion, all gods are the same - be they male female, egyptian or christian, norse or hindu. the only difference in what you asked is what your god means to you vs accepting another god. how do these two gods differ? what sort of feelings do you have to either of these gods? you can honestly accept both gods, in my opinion. i have a main deity in my beliefs, but i do pray to many others for their strength and wisdom. my main deity is not in any books that are out there in the world. as weird as it may sound, i call her by a name because there is no name that is known for her. she is very similar to kali and hecate.
the point is, the only difference between accepting a god and accepting your god is up to you. they are basically all rolled into one, but break up into many gods and goddesses as though you're focusing on different aspects of this deity.

For the God of the Christians it would include accepting the Incarnation (God became man), the Holy Trinity, the vicarious atonement of Jesus Christ on the Cross for the sins of the whole world, and His bodily Resurrection.

There is only one God. The difference is how people interpret the bible and God's word. Just as I don't believe that God was Jesus, if he were, why would he as Jesus pray to himself, why would he refer to himself as his father, why when he was crusified, did he look towards Heaven and ask, " Why hast thou foresaken me?" He also asks in the bible, " Have yea not read my fathers words?" referring to the OT. Never in the bible does it refer to Jesus as being God. Too many people take things out of text and when they do, it changes the meaning.

Here is an example. You are Jewish and you like the Hindu idols or whatever. Those idols aren't yours. They are just pieces of God.
