My friend got out of a horrible verbally/emotionally abusive relationship about four months ago, she says she's having trouble finding almost anyone physically attractive. She wants to know if this is a normal reaction... or is she just being picky?

I think she's just being picky. That's almost always the excuse for everything. Even if she is scarred in some way, I'd bet she's still picky. If she doesn't find her favorite male celebrity attractive anymore, then maybe I'd believe her. Good night!

Why on earth is she looking for another guy already, girls we all should try sometimes being alone for awile we dont need men to be happy. And yes she is being picky not only that shes not over him either, i feel sorry for you because your gonna have to be the one to pick up the pieces from here, and anyway being in an abusive relationship is one thing, 10 out 10 let me give u the senario shes gonna take him back, and make up some excuse as to why she seein him again, shes gonna take up from him which is gonna put a strain on your friendship, then hes gonna isolate her from u, and when he abuses her agian guess who shes gonna call, u really need 2 talk 2 her now, she needs support that she can do better, once an abuser always one hes never gonna change she needs 2 get back 2 being that person she was before him.

Yes it is a normal reaction after what shes been through i bet she is just having trouble getting close to someone so finds any reason to reject them, but eventually she will find out that not all guys are assholes and if she is just being picky than she will eventually find the fuy who meets her standards!

It's normal and she's being picky it's her way of preparing to go back to the guy or at least her heart,she just needs to justify her actions to herself. Just keep taking her out and reminding her how she deserves a man that respects her...she needs that more than a man right now.

Your friend may just be afraid of getting into a nother relationship and what better way to avoid that than being unattracted to EVERYONE. Isnt attracton what begins most everything? if you see a shirt and buy it is because you are attracted to that shirt, or a picture or anything. it goes with people as well. Shes probably afraid.

Normal from what I know of abusive relationships. Many people go through post traumatic stress disorder after abuse. Read up on it if you like. Interesting.

She may just be emotionally scarred and not quite ready to enter the dating scene ..so she's making excuses to not date anyone.
She needs time to heal.

its neither of those...she is scared of being attracted to someone again due to her ex being so verbal abusing on her.....she's just scared, tell her to take a break from men.

she is lookin 4 inperections in others she is just not ready to date she needs to deal wit her self before tryin to mess someone else up
