It could be a lot of things. I may be carpal tunnel, sprain muscle, or something you may be doing which is pinching a nerve. Because it is unclear, my sugestion is you seek medical advice from your physician.

It sounds like it may be Ulnar nerve palsy, possibly caused by leaning on your elbow too much. I have had the same thing for a month. I think you may have to get an electomyograph or use some sort of wrist guard similar to those used for carpal tunnel.

You might have a herniated disc in your cervical spine or you might have a carpal tunnel syndrom that makes a pressure on your nerve in either cases you have to see a doctor to take care.

maybe you hurt your elbow , nt necessarily your hand
you may have a problem with a specific nerve called the ulnar nerve which gives sensation to this area. it's best if you go see a dr to get the proper care. i hope you feel better soon.

I think the best help you can get is to see a doctor. He can run the necessary tests needed to find out what is wrong.
