it all started when i got anxiety, nka experience ako ng chestpain ako nag pa ecg na ko ng tatlong beses normal naman lahat, and xray din. ang sabi ng doctors gatroespophageal reflux daw and it is stress related, nakakatakot kasi almost everyday nararamdaman ko 10 doctors na nakausap ko and sabi nila di raw un sa heart, gusto ko lang malaman kung may nagkaroon na rin ng ganitong experience dito sa philippines, kasi sa yahoo madalas westerns ang sumasagot sa kin, your answers would be a great help thank you and GOD BLESS!

My father in law had coughing whenever he spoke. His regular internist said it was emphysema. He finally went to a lung specialist, who ran a tube down there to look. It was GERD.
He takes protonix. He's great now.
GERD can cause lots of symptoms.

Sure, and it would be as a result of mild esophagitis or gastritis (inflammation in esophagus and stomach respectively) and also it can be due to your anxiety and stress apart from GERD.
Try to decrease your anxiety by relaxation therapy, yoga, swimming and also omitting the cause.
