My girlfriend and I of three years broke up in December, she started dating a mutual friend. Now she wants to get back together. I Love this woman with all my heart and I am going to get back with her, but what sort of changes need to be made to prevent this again? We want to spend our lives together and have children and I know I can get over this, I just need some input on how to keep the romance alive, because I believe we just got to busy with work and school and did not have much time together.

put a special day aside for the 2 of u.. one that u both agree not to make appointments or arrangments on. My b/f and i both have very busy lives but this one day we have 3 times a month kept us together and happy. Leave notes around the house, in lunch boxes if ur partner works. i miss u , i love u, or cant wait to see u.. this is a sweet and romantic way of telling eachother ur thinking about them. Call each other if u have a min in the day, just to say i love u. These small gestures really help to keep a relationship alive.

You love her but does she love u? For her to date another guy after breaking off with u shows that she dun take love seriously. And she gets back with u, don't u think she might not like the way that guy treated her? In a sense, she using a few guys to compare which one suits her best. If u want to make things work, u better know what she wants in life with u. Love goes both ways...1 way won't help u much!

I am not sure you should really take her back, but if you do you will need to make sure you both agree to a date night at least once a week. Also, once in-awhile make it a romantic night.
Maybe you both studying you school home work in the same room would be a good idea.

Taking her back will be a mistake and hurt you more than it hurts her.
She cheated on you and hurt your feelings. She has no respect for you feelings back then, nor does she now. Don't reward her cheating heart by giving her yours. It will only encourage her. She will know she can always get away with it.
Don't take her back. She doesn't deserve you. You aren't for free. You aren't pathetic or desperate. You have more self-esteem to take back someone who has hurt you much.
Meet someone who respects you. Not someone who takes advantage of your kindness.

You really should get married if you want to be together that bad. Your children deserve to have married parents.
Go to relationship counseling and you will learn there how to get along well.
