I have panic attacks when I am in small crowded rooms. It took me many years to figure this out. Now I try to sit near a door if I must be in that room. Discovering what actually causes your attack to come on will help you find solutions to controlling or avoiding the worst of it. The first time I had a panic attack it really scared me and those around me because I really went wacko. Running over people to get out of the room. You can have panic attacks for more than one reason. Studying, Tests, etc. The more you know about your type the better you will be able to handle or avoid it.

My suggestion would be first thing in the morning before you climb out of bed relax and do some deep breathing exercises while listening to relaxing music (no music is okay too). This should relieve your anxiety level all day. Then I would suggest either talking to a friend about your fears and get to the bottom of why you are having your attacks. If that does not relieve then then it would be a good idea to see a physiologist for therapy and a psychiatrist for anxiety medication. If you are nervous about getting out of college try to prepare yourself for everything early enough that will help with the stress. Find out all the expectations and how you can make sure you are able to do them. As long as you work hard and are responsible everything will be just fine. Good luck.

First of all, if this is becoming a usual occurance for you get to a professional quickly! It could be a sign of an anxiety disorder that can be treated.

When you feel one coming on, excuse yourself from class, get a drink of water, and breath in and out very slowly. In through the nose, out through the mouth. Concentrate on your breathing and remain calm. I know they can be scary, but trying to get them under control before they get out of hand is the best way to deal with them. Like I said before, if they are becoming common see a professional as it may be an anxiety disorder called panic disorder.

Lastly, stress can trigger attacks. If you are feeling lots of stress because of school ending or anxiety for the future, look into stress management techniques as well. Hope this helps!

Well i would say that you are under a lot of stress, and that is why this is happening. You really need to go see a professional, and talk about what is brothering you, he / she may have you try some anxiety, and panic attack medication, that can lower it , or stop it. But in the long run you still need to go and talk about the stress in your life, so you can get on with your life, with out having these attacts.

it has something to do with the way u think about things or ur perspective on life. Of course it comes from bad experience but it's really hard to change the way u think, idk. Maybe practice thinking positive thoughts. Many ppl have social anxiety disorders. Ask for help since this def is something serious & difficult to deal with on ur own.
Best wishes.

i think the fear is really about getting out of college instead of staying in class itself...i think once you really get out you'll have a heart attack =/
