alright little one.
I think it's fine.
Sometimes love conquers all borders and age gaps for that matter.I frankly dont think theres anything wrong with it, as long as you're not changing this guys perspective, he's young, easily influenced and lacks experience, so i suggest you give him a while before you actually tell him or get it seriously going.
putting him in jepordy because of your own feelings may really hurt him in the process,do you want that?
and besides, i think you've just got on rose coloured glasses.
17 years old, mature? doubt it, he might be smart and witty and interesting, but mature?
You can only reach a maturity level when you've encountered different types of situations and at 17, i doubt he has.
You need to give it some time.See his response.
I'm 18 years old, and i'm in a relationship with a 30 year old guy.
And i love him, and it;s damn obvious he's in love with me too.
it's been over a year and a half and im happy.
But he's made it clear to me, that i'm not being held back, that i have my options, and that i should be able to explore everything.
the key to our secret is great communication, we tell eachother everything and discuss anything that poses as a problem, the whole excercise therefore makes us more dependable.
I'd say i'm quite mature for an 18 year old.Because I am experienced, a little too much, and i had to grow up a lot faster then any of my friends. even though i think this, I wouldnt judge an older persons opinion on the matter.
why
because they're been around longer.
think about it a bit before you fall head over heels.
sometimes it helps to look before you stumble.
Good luck
Rave

I'm 34 married to 56 for 11 years - we are great together - age poses some difficulties - but so do may other aspects.

Do wait a time before serious involvement, that is your responsibility more than his - a 17 y/o will get an erection if a breeze blow across him and may think that means he has to use it.

Enjoy the chase, relish the possibility, nurture the relationship, develop a true friendship that will not be spoiled by a quick physical fix.

first off, why did you post this question 10 times?

Finally...

I think this is a new trend. Older women dating younger men. And it's becoming popular.

Traditionally, it's older men (who are succesful and experienced) who date younger women (who are dependant and attractive). That will never change.

But now, older women are dating younger men. Why is that?

In countries like the USA, China, Japan, and most european countries... women have (nearly) the same oppurtunites as men. For the first time, women can become as experienced and succesful as men, and no longer depend on a man to make their livelihoods. Women are making their own livelihoods. There's no need to find a guy who can take care of her, if she can already take care of herself.

Now things are reversed. Successful women don't want successful men. Successful men already have a plethoral of eager, inexperienced, more attactive, younger women waiting to date him. Successful men are too busy, prefer younger girls, and aren't interested in older women who make more money and have more indpendence than him.

So these succesful women look for a man who will be loyal to her. A younger, inexperienced man. Because he is less threatenining, more "fun," a tiger in bed, cuter, and not as busy or distracted.

It's becoming a popular thing for older, successful women to date younger, inexperienced guys.

In the USA, it's still frowned upon, because we're very conservative when it comes to sex. But in Japan and China, it's very common.

Look at all the teachers who sleep with their high school male students. Ashton and Demi. It's a growning trend. Just wait until he's 18. You don't want any trouble with the law. And 8 years difference really isn't that much. Just be smart & legal about it.

There is only 8 years between you.If you was a guy it would be all right. Don't worry what other people think.Someone will always have something to say about it.Don't live you life by what other people think! If you do you will always be unhappy cause someone will always have something bad to say.Think at 18 he is old enough to die for his country but not choose who he loves? So if he acts old enough and seems mature then he is.

No such thing as a mature 17 yr old boy.
unless you are 14.Quit acting like a 14 year old and start acting like a mature woman and you won't see anything in him at all.
Stop being where he is,you really could go to jail !
If you were hitting on MY son you would !

You are confusing him and he needs to be with kids his own age
Back off. 8 years difference?? no,no,no!

Wait a year, until he's legal. Then see how you both feel. If it's really love, doing what's best for him shouldn't be a problem.
