I havn't met many mature 17 year olds. When i was 17 i thought i was mature for my age. Now that i'm older i look back and see how immature I really was, priorities being different and future not as secured. If you really like him then keep in close contact with him untill he grows up a bit, but i'd still reccomend you give him some time.

Now before anyone says it's illegal blah blah blah this and that. Be aware of the Age of Sexual Consent of your state. In most states, it is Perfectly legal for a 16 year old male/female to have sex with anyone they please 18 and over. So while you say it's nothing sexual, keep in mind that it is most likely not illegal. Everyone always assumes the age a person could have sex with another person over 18 is when they themselves are 18. Not true. Most states are 16-17.
To answer your questions. If you truly love him and you have pure intentions as a couple, then go for it. There is absolutely nothing wrong. If you love one another, take care of, protect, and guide one another, please by all means go for it. :) GoodLuck

that might be the case but you are older and should now better. he will not be ready for any kind of mature relationship for a while. heck he won't even be allowed into a bar for awhile.when you are 17, 7years difference is huge. when you are 32 seven years is not that far apart.

You need to search yourself and be sure its love (and wait till he is a legal adult.) If love it is and he feels the same????? Who can stop love. Case in point. When I was in high school one of the coaching staff and a cheer leader (she was a Senior and 18 years old) where in love. The small town we lived in just had a proper FIT! He lost his job, she got kicked out of school. Now 30 years and 3 children later they are still together and very much in love. So,,,, is it love?

I'm sure there are plenty of mature men your own age.
A 17 year old is at a completely different stage in his life and though you may think he is mature, he is nowhere near your maturity level.
He is mature for his own age, not yours.
