If I have dark brown hair and I bleached it would it turn orange or red? I am only bleaching it so i can put a light brown color on it. My hair is so dark that nothing is lightening it up so my stylist said to bleach it then we could put any color we wanted on it!

bleach?! MADNESS! Don't do it - it'll take forever to restore the health of your hair. There is nothing more attractive than HEALTHY hair.

If you bleach your hair it will probably turn orange or red. Bleach does a lot of damage to the hair, so really condition your hair a lot before you bleach it. Ask your stylist how far up she/he wants to get your hair. (she/he may not have to leave the bleach on very long) You can really get in trouble if you bleach your hair. Some people have got a really bad chemical burn by the bleach.

This all depends on how long you leave the bleach in your hair....the longer you leave the bleach in your hair the lighter it gets.....if you leave it in long enough it could even turn platinum blonde!!!...Your stylist is right, once you bleach it and it gets lighter u can put another color over it so that the other color would show up better

It will go red, then orange, then gold. The lighter you bleach you hair, the brighter the colour will be. I think it is best if you bleach it blond, but ask your hairdresser!! You don't want to damage it too much. Going light brown is a good idea.

orange. even if it turns out red, it will eventually become orange because red just doen't work out on dk brown hair.. but if you bleach to a color lighter than the red you desire, then it could work.

yes it will turn orange. dont ruin the quality of your hair for a color change.
