How can some of you say "If evolution is real, why are we not evolving today?"?! Hello, idiot, have you been to a museum, ever? Did you miss the Neanderthal section?? Do we LOOK like that today?? Very similar, but not the same, due to, what? Yes, very good. Evolution. And we evolved from primates, not monkeys or apes.

My_Karma... That's why I emphasized "some"... The majority of my friends are Christian or Catholic, and they are smart enough to know evolution is real and still maintain a belief in God.

Yes, monkeys and apes are primates, but we did not evolve from monkeys or apes! If a monkey is one type of primate and an ape is another type of primate, does that mean they are the same type of primate? That they are both monkeys or apes? We're not monkeys or apes, and we're not their decendants.

I personally think the whole subject has been talked to death..I'm a Christian, and I feel it's both, we are here by means of evolution and creation, and there's no way some thing can just be and create its self so, some intelligence had to start it and put it on auto pilot and we have been evolving since then, and for a reason, to get us to the point in the Bible in Revelations, i don't think the Neanderthal man could be capable of doing justice to any of it...God is God and most people don't know the power behind that name, we've made fun and disrespected him for so long that the name don't mean that much to many people but that's were the problem lies....he's all powerful, he so powerful he can't be described ,our puny mortal brains weren't made to understand his power, or him, ...but we will, the days is coming when all knees will bow and beg for his mercy, but it will be to late then....to late

Why are some atheists? In every group of people whether gathered for religious, scientific,
or to watch a football game, you will find varying degrees of every human trait in every group if it is large enough. If you are smart enough to know someone else is retarded, you should have known that!
Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought Monkeys and Apes were Primates. Did someone change that when I was not looking?

I agree with you 100% but don't make the mistake of thinking we've stopped evolving. Look at grave sites throughout the past thousand or so years. Note how much taller the average human has gotten.
*edit* As for our christian friends, it's really just the ones online. Almost every christian I know personally is just lovely. Thats because they know me to be a person. To christians online, I'll never be anything more than just a Witch.

We often hear about "Neanderthals", or the supposed stage of man's evolution that came immediately before modern-day humans. The Neanderthal skeleton is hunched over and has some "ape-like" skull features. This, however, is speculation; the physical deformation of the Neanderthals could just as easily be attributed to diseases that cause deformations to "modern-day" humans. In fact, one Neanderthal was found buried with chain-mail armor, an invention of the first millennium A.D. Another Neanderthal skull was found with a bullet hole in it. There have been many mistakes when using skeletons of "ape-men" as proof of evolution. Two such cases, Piltdown Man and Nebraska Man, were outright hoaxes, the results of mixing the bones of humans and animals and claiming them as pre-human evolutionary steps. There have even been reports of some scientists re-arranging the jaw bone of normal human skulls in relation to the rest of the skull to make it look more ape-like.

Uhmm do you know scientists in Europe now know that the Neanderthals did not predate homosapiens. This was in the news over a year ago. Naturally many people who buy into Darwinian Evolution just shrugged it off. Plus discoveries in Neanderthal tombs, where valuable possessions were buried with the dead Neanderthals, strongly points that they worked together as a group and also held religious beliefs that your possessions go with you to the afterlife. Unlike many people who buy into Evolution, I actually look at the purported evidence from time to time.

From what i understand, what u r nw and all that u have/don't have is not dependent on a God. It is dependent on a force generated and accumulated thru a very long period of time and when the time is ripe, the force will take effect and is especially prominent on major things(e.g born retarded, unnatural death etc.).
This force is known as "karma force"(cause and effect force)...

Is that it?
You call those who don't believe in evolution retarted?
I'm normally ok with other words, but don't misuse this! You know what it's like being retarded?
Thank God I'm not!
Christians believe God created the universe. They believe he created man and woman. Evolution's a sidetopic, it doesn't matter.
What matters is what you're gonna do with the knowledge that God created you and loves you.
Turn your back on him and rush to evolution to prove the nonexistence of God?

There is a evolution gap that separates man from ape/primate.
It's the missing link - i'm sure you've heard of it.
no-one has found it because it doesn't exist.
If god made man in his image - you're saying God was a monkey.
God made man not ape in his image.
