When somebody says "you're pathetic", does it mean "you suck"? If not, what does it mean? And in what occasions people use the word "pathetic" like this? Giving examples is appreciated.

Ya, in a way; it does mean 'you suck', kind of expression. Also can mean you're desperate. But if we think differently, 'Pathetic' is just an expression that shows sympathetic sadness or a sorrow, but then it all depends on our thinking at the moment. It can be showing pity or it can be an expression to just say 'you suck'...

I would use that term on a person if I reckon he suck or he's desperate and worst than a human being, an animal. In example, i would say that to a person in example like... (1) my ex-bf asked me back with him if his current gf has dumped him and duped him all his money, (2) a person who stole their mum's savings when their parents are away, (3) when a girlfriend has lost her pride and beg his boyfren not to leave her in scenario that she would even be on her knees or being laughed and joked publicly.

:)

It means that you are a pathetic excuse for a human being...basically that's about it. It is sort of like 'you suck'.
One would say 'you're pathetic' when you wanted to insult someone...you are not up to par.

You Re Pathetic

It can mean the same as you're stupid or you're ridiculous or you're pitiful. In any event, the speaker does not think very highly of the person he/she is speaking of. I doubt they meant it to mean that they feel sorry for you and want to help you.

It depends in which context. Sometimes it really means "you suck" but it can be also mean that"you're moving" . "you're touching my mood". It can be also used instead of the word "sentimental" as 'don't get pathetic (sentimental), I can't stand it'.
