The following is a tale illustrating how people cope with dealing with a loved one's mental illness. I'm just curious which one you are:

Three travellers were walking down a path with important destinations on their mind. As they walked they came upon a beautiful crystal and gold vase that had been broken. Nearby was a rock. The first traveller became angry and frustrated over seing such a beautiful thing broken. She asked "how did this happen? Who did this? Did the vase hit the rock, or the rock smash the vase? The question caused so much confusion that she sat down in anguish trying to figure it out.
The second traveller felt anger and grief "Why?" he asked, "why did this happen it was once a beautiful vase , why would God let such a thing happen. This question caused the traveller to sink into a deep state of hoplessness and helpness and he sat unable to move.
The third traveller agreed it was a sad thing. She did not ask who or why but instead said "I am not sure why or how

this happened either way the vase is broken. she bent over and gently picked up the broken pieces and went on her way. Obviously it is better to be the third but be honest which are you?

As much as I'd like to be the 3rd. Honestly, I think I'm more of the 2nd. It's so sad to see such beau ruined. Why would any one ruin something so beautiful and pure.

I am the third. My son is broken (mentally) at the moment. I have picked up the pieces and am in the process of trying to put them back together, with the help of a good psychiatrist and a very good case manager.
Sometimes the pieces can be put back together and sometimes nothing will hold the vase together. We just try the best we can and hope the glue holds.

I am the third kind. You can't get upset/angry over things you can not control. The vase was already broken, there is nothing that could have been done to change that.

I would be more like the first one. I always want to know how negative things happened in order to prevent them from happening again. Yes, at times, getting the answer is frustrating, but it could help another in the long run. That is why we have researchers and scientists. It may also help redirect the negativity of a potentially grave situation toward the hopes of a more positive outcome in the future. Perhaps you could encase the item to prevent it from harm.

Well most of the time i would say that i am the third one, but at different times and moods, i may be any of them or all of them, it really depends on the mood you are in, now your feeling that day, and how you are coping with things that day. But in most i would say the third, but sometimes the others too.

u have chosen the example very badly. u should have substituted a stupid useless christal with a dead beautiful woman or a child or smth irreplaceable. who cares about stupid christal? i would take a rock and smashed it into smaller pieces and continued walking without even thinking about it. it wasn't mine anyway. so rewrite your example for more accurate results
