hey since you live in tampa check out the humane socity on armenia ave and also the hillsborough county dog pound on faulkenburg rd . I used to live in tampa . I now live in clearwater . those are just a few places and also check out the tampa tribune and the flyer . good luck to you.

I also live in Florida. If you go to Animal Control, they will have some dogs there for free. Not all of them are free, but some of the ones that have been there for a long time are free. You probably won't be able to find a 6-11 wk old puppy for free, but it is worth a look.

Look in your local paper or go down to your local animal shelter....
