the tat i am considering to get is my family coat of arms for my last name MAC LEAN i was thinking maybe my upper arm.

I would say yes, but it depends on what you want to get and WHY you want to get it. I say yes if it's for something that's unique/original and expresses something personal about you. I would say no if it's something that you're just going to pick off of a wall.

Personally i love tattoos and as soon as I have this baby I'm getting mine finished. Make sure you think long and hard about what you're going to get and its usually better if it means something special or important to you and is personal simply picking it off a wall is a bit tacky but you can always add to it if you find a design you really truly like and have them do something different add stuff and different colors. Ultimately it is your choice and it would be good if you had wanted it for a while and make sure you go to an actual tattoo shop that uses new needles, is clean, sanitary and has an up to date health inspection. Also if you have a shop in mind make sure you have seen real tattoos on other people that have been done by the shop to make sure it is the right person to do yours, follow the quidelines on the care sheet they give you and have it covered with the plastic wrap they put on for as long as they say depending on how big usually an hour to 4 hours or so to avoid bacteria getting in it and so that the ink holds better. Also a big dont do is even when it scabs and itches refuse temptation to itch and do not pick the scab even if its partially off or you can lose some of the ink and have to have the spot on it redone. Most tattoos not all the ink holds and you will need to touch it up but most shops do this for free and a lot touch the tattoo up years later for either no cost or very little cost. Tattoos are permanent remember that get it in a spot that if you work for a corporation can be covered easily, and also think about where you put it as we age we all start to head south. Laser removal can cause tattoos to be erased but it isnt 100% and hurts and is a lot more than you would ever pay for the tattoo so again I say think about what you want its easier to get one then to remove it.

that's a decision that you can make and shouldn't base your decision on what some random stranger says on YA. The tattoo should be significant to YOU and so if you don't think that you're going to like it long term, then don't...
Also - when you say that you're considering getting inked...is this a design that you're creating yourself or are you going into a tattoo parlor and picking something off the wall? Remember that flash off the wall is very common and that you will not have a unique design...

if you want a tattoo then go for it. just do be sure that you consider placement of the tattoo. a coat of arms can look amazing but it can also look horrible. really really really bad.
the most important thing you can do is to research your tattoo artist. make sure they are talented and competent. ask around. if their tattoo portfolio doesn't impress you then you should not get a tattoo from there. also, if they don't have a portfolio then you should not get a tattoo from them. good luck! feel free to email me if you have any questions.

I think a man with tattoos is sexy.I have 9 myself.Like ev1 else said just make sure its what you want b4 you get it.All of mine have some kind of meaning.

you should have posted a pic of the tattoo just to quell curiosity. but yeah depends on what it is youre trying to get and why. you should be asking yourself those questions since its your body

It's totally up to you & forget about what everyone else thinks.
But you asked. So...tattoos are dead sexy. I love them [too young to be able to get any myself, and i care too much about what people think of me to get any, if they dissed me for it. and i hate that btw]. If it's something you'll kiss/love long time then cool bananas.
