If the color is orangish then go to Sallys beauty supplies and get a de-redder agent. It works! if you arnt planning to dye it, then go to Sallys and get a crystal wash. Itn comes in a small purple and white package, and you just add water, its a crystal gel. I suggest getting many packets because i've got shoulder length hair and i have to use 4 packs. You can leave it on over night if you want, the longer you leave it, the better it works..and it will take out all that crud that every day puts into your hair,

a wash in colour or a colour depositing shampoo should help tone in your bronze bits.

the 6 inche ends of my hair (it is now quite long) have previously had lightening product on and no amount of dye will stay there permanently, it jsut fades out. i have found the easiest was is to use a colouring shampoo for brunettes and keeps the ends brown :-)
