On the radio this morning on the way to work, this one station said they were having a contest for a free wedding on Valentine's Day. The catch was that how the winners would be drawn was one name from each gender, who would become married to each other. Also, the winners would have no say in any of the details.

Would you willingly participate in something like this or not? I wouldn't if it was me.

Are you sure you heard right?

Some officiants hold Valentine's day weddings and they do give a wedding away. In fact, I'm working on one such event myself.
But the partner is strictly up to the individual.

This is the dumbest idea I've ever heard. They are making a mockery of marriage.
Care to email me tell me which radio station this is? I'd like to have a chat with their PR dept.

i might particularly avert 7/31 purely because of the fact your BIL & his spouse ought to in comparison to having your wedding ceremony fall on their anniversary. I comprehend a great form of people get married every day and that no-one particularly has an afternoon all to themselves, yet I do think of that in the time of the comparable kinfolk you are able to desire to attempt to avert that conflict till you deliberate a double-wedding ceremony with a relative. i might decide for the two of the June dates. i think of June weddings are effective. optimistically the climate should not be too warm by potential of that factor.
