My hair was recently dyed black ( about 2 months ago), and I want to bleach out some streaks and put purple over them. Will my hair be ok? I wanted to go to a professional but for like streaks it's almost 100.00 and and you have to get the simple colors, black,blond,brunnette ect..

Ok I'm confused.. There are people saying no and people saying yes it's safe and saying that they know hair stylist ect... uhm... which is it? Yes or no?

Don't do it!!!!!! It will snap your hair right out the roots. Too much chemical pile up on the hair folicle.
You are taking the elaticity out of the hair with the bleach. It will snap off and break because bleach is powerful enough.
Definetly wait and see a professional.

I would get enough money raised to go to a professional. If you mess your hair up then you will not be able to dye it for a long time. You probably need to strip the parts of your hair you want dyed purple and then dye them . If you bleach it then try to dye it it will mess up your hair big time. Believe me i've tryed to do the exact same thing and it didn't turn out so well!!!

First off, if you bleach to put in streaks in your hair its liable to turn orange. But I have heard that doing streaks of purple is possible--ask a beauty supply assistant which product they would suggest. There is a product that only does the purple--Its far easier on hair to do it that way.

bleaching your hair is never okay. its fries your hair up! bleach is the worst thing you could possibly use. and i kno cause ive died my hair over 73 times. and ive bleached it over 20 times. of course the first time you bleach it your hair will be fine. but try and keep a color...cause if you dye it something dark and then decide you want it bleached to get a lighter color and then mabey later u decide u want dark hair again...and when halfta bleach it again. yah i get tired of my hair color so im dying and bleaching it all the time. but no your hair will be fine, just dont bleach it to many times.
my hair has been curently falling out.

It should be. Make sure you use a color that has lots of conditioner. I stripped my hair over the summer and didn't put a color on it and my hair started to fall out. It was luckily underneith so nobody could see it but it was disturbing. I promptly dyed my hair black and it saved my hair.

Ive done it. As long as you dont do it all the time. Condition REALLY well when your done.
