Yes I did...it's crazy I'll give you some links that show you more about it...could be the Avian Flu aka H5n1 virus..The CDC has confirmed that this strand is evolving and has a slight change in it to transfer to humans.
That's only one theory....there's the chemtrails and polluted food sources that also are conspiracy to this. However it is a warning of something and could become a pandemic. But we will not know until they fully finish the investigation on this. As one bird in AU was found dying of convulsions, that sounds chemical to me
but some viruses can be blamed for that to.
Arizona did not have as many....but they did...and Austin Tx closed half of the city for the day..until about 1pm...discovered at 3am. Colorado has had a few occurances as well(back in April). Iran reported some in Feb 2006....just stating it has been a year thing not just January...
Another theory is global warming and lack of O2 in the air. Someone even reported a statement this was from the movie "Core" but those birds were dying from running into things.
The best advice is to report ANY dead birds you see in your yard and if you have children or animals to keep them away from the bird or it's feces (spreads that way)
Avian Flu takes 2 days from first contact to see effects and have similiar symptoms as the regular flu just more difficulties such as swollen heart and brain (serious). The worst case scenerio is it strands with a flu virus we have and comes with a new strand to yet come up with another vaccine. (it's in the making just not ready yet)
Just keep your eye out the last Pandemic was in 1918 called the "Spanish Flu" and it killed millions (which was really serious then considering population differences) It is a course that about every 3 years or so happens. Sad thing because it wiped out ALOT of birds and they are vital to our economic value. Sorry for the long description but I wanted awareness as well.
But to sum it up basically we are awaiting final tests to be completed to determine cause, until then let's just becareful!
Report anything you see!!

Birds fall from sky over town
By Amanda O'Brien
January 10, 2007 01:00am
Article from: The Australian
THOUSANDS of birds have fallen from the skies over Esperance and no one knows why.
Is it an illness, toxins or a natural phenomenon? A string of autopsies in Perth have shed no light on the mystery.
All the residents of flood-devastated Esperance know is that their "dawn chorus" of singing birds is missing. "

Yes I did. Well..... at least in Australia. It was in Western Australia and I believe they think it may have been some sort of toxin but they aren't sure yet.

Aussie here, read the article but we have had nothing on the news in the state of Victoria, it could have been anything from crop dusting to blue green algae in one of the local water areas.

Haven't heard that one, but if it was near crops the birds may have been exposed to chemicals.

I vaguely heard about birds dropping dead in TX this week. Let's do a Yahoo Search, shall we? Nope - found nothing except an indonesian teen died today of bird flu. Let us know if you find out anything.
Peace!

there is thunder in the sky,and the bird can't stand the noise and cover the ear with their wing so they fall.
