Because you have to admit you were wrong and your pride doesn't want to let you do that.

Alot of people have this problem and most of the time it is men. So I think is is pride. You hate to admit that you are wrong about something. But when you do you will find the reward for being a little more humble more rewarding then being so prideful. I think the reason men are this way, alot of the time it is taught to them all there lives by there father and there fathers father. So when they are grown it is hard on them to say I'm sorry and even for some it is hard to cry and show real emotion. But if you want to bad enough you can break this cycle and your children want have this problem. Good luck...

It truly is the brave man that says "i'm sorry"....it admits fault and wrong doing.....both embarrassing things. But only to you. The person receiving it gains a whole new respect for your honestly, willingness to admit the wrong and hopefully make the changes necessary not to repeat the wrong. Basically it's pride holding you back...and in that case you really are NOT all that sorry. Think of that the next time you know an apology is necessary and don't let the person you've wronged down and allow room for their respect to grow and forgiveness to happen. It's a win-win situation.

Find the courage. It will make your life alot better. It should never be hard to say your sorry, especially if you know that you are in the wrong.

Cause you are admitting a weakness and lots of people think if they do they are showing a flaw in their personality - it's better to admit you're sorry - I think you show the strength in your personality when you do so and, from my own experience, people will have a greater love for you for doing so.

Set aside your pride, if the person that you need to apologize and make things right with means anything to you. Because, times is to short and you never know what you miss until its gone. And, you'll weep what you'll sow.

i agree it's hard to say you where wrong or stupid or mean but its the only way to make up and have both ppl actualy feel like you've made up. lose your pride and try to be more humble its ok we all have to learn it

i'm like you, whenever i'm in the wrong i want to say sorry but the words just stay stuck in my sealed mouth and my mouth feels like lead all of a sudden... but i've promised myself to say sorry and mean it the next time i do something wrong... difficult, but it'll be rewarding in the end... thanks for the reminder... good question :)
