1 piece sexy red, short of course, if the color looks gorgeous on her. If not you can't go wrong with black. Must be silk and a touch of lace around the bust and low cut. She is lucky to have you! Black, red and purple are all sexy, vixen colors, whereas white is sexily pure and idyllic. Honestly, when girls buy lingerie for themselves, they're usually thinking about what their boyfriends would like, so if you pick what you like, she'll probably like it too. Just don't get anything too riske or slutty because she may be offended. I would recommend a teddy. Classic, and sexy. Maybe a cami and matching boy cute panties as well. Go for white. It's universally flattering on all skin tones. Second choice would be black.
I didn't even think about Valentines day in terms of being thematic and going for a holiday inspired color, so if that's what you're going for, I'd pick pink over red. Red is a very bold color, and if she's not a lingerie type red might be a little too much. Pink is flirty and feminine. But I like the idea someone else had to get her something that's a gift for her. Try and think about what she likes when choosing a gift. Does she work a lot or stressed out a lot? If so, the spa would be a good idea. Just think about what she enjoys because you know it even if you think you don't, it just takes a little thought and you'll come up with the perfect gift. Maybe a weekend away at a nice resort/B&B/inn. Then giving lingerie would just seem like setting the mood instead of like your just giving her something that will be your gift instead.

You see - we are on to that. Lingerie for your girlfriend is really more a gift for yourself than it is for her, isn't it? I mean unless you collects boustiers or really loves to lounge around in a teddy - something very few of us do - it is something she is supposed to go put on to please you.
Why not a spa treatment, a lot of flowers or jewelry? Then if you get the teddy too, there is something for everyone.
Color and type are subjective - might as well get her what you want to see her in, but I would refrain from crotchless or the ones with holes for the breasts to peek through, if you know what I am saying.

Black is always sexy and mysterious, but Red is good too.......the color of Love and Passion. Heck! How about a Combo? That's really hot! It doesn't matter 1 or 2 pcs. Whatever you think would look great on her.

the less the pieces the better. i think black says you just want to have sex and, red says you're feeling really naughty and you want not just everyday sex but interesting role play sex. i read that in a magazine.
