That is a miracle to me, but I really want to know what it really means to be brought back from the dead. Would she be considered an angel. Just curious...

John 5:28 and 29 tells us there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. Psalms tells us the earth will endure forever and the meek will reside on it. If God has the power to create us, he has the power to re-create us. Jesus showed on a small scale while on earth what his Father's Kingdom would do earthwide. He even encouraged us to pray for it in the Lord's prayer found at Matthew 6:9-13.

I'm glad your friend is alive.

Angels are creatures directly created by God.

God doesn't take people in death as angels. He is a God of Love. 1 John 4: 8

Look these up in your own Bible so you can see it holds the answers.

Keep searching-Proverbs 3:13-18 tells us that if we keep digging, it is a tree of life to us.

Better call Oprah, Jay Leno, 60 Minuets. Might be able to make some money off this story. I don't know of anyone coming back to life (less being revived on an operating table during an operation) since the days of Jesus. Why would they want to leave a perfect, beautiful, painless life in Heaven and come back to earth with all its problems?

You did not really give any details about her death or how she came back. But I am thinking CPR and advance life support brought your friend back. I hope she feels lucky to have a second chance at living. Being an Angel only God would know.

It is getting to be quite common for people to experience what is called a "near death experience". Often while on the operating table they literally stop breathing and their heart stops beating. At this point they are clinically dead, however they are often brought back to life by fibula tors or CPR or Adrenalin injection. People cannot become angels, angels are created beings made by God.Every living person has a soul which will live forever even after the body dies. Where this soul lives is determined by whether or not you accepted Jesus as your saviour or not. If you have accepted Him who God sent to die for you then you will spend eternity in heaven, if you rejected Christ then you will spend eternity in hell.

Dear one we are not angels nor have we ever been angels there is no scriptural backing for that whatsover... in fact the word tells us we are exhaulted above the angels.
We can however do what we would consider angelic things in our lives. We can be the people God wants us to be... in servitude to others.. in being compassionate ect.
We are Gods children, angels are his messengers. We are adopted into the Kingdom of God. We know his grace and mercy.... angels do not... they have never experienced "grace".... being forgiven.
Your friend apparently still has purpose here.. still has something that God has for her to accomplish. That is why she is with us. Enjoy her.... and all your other friends and family. While she may have been revived .... none of us are promised tomorrow. Love all that you can and enjoy each day with them.

God bless you :)

Well if you were looking at it from a theological point of view, than yes, she could have come back as an Angel, or maybe she was meant for something big, and until she bestows what she needs to on the world, then she wont be ready to finish out her life.

Or you can look at it from another point of view and just say..wow those are some damn good doctors..

I'm guessing her heart stopped beating, but she was brought back to life - by people who dedicate their lives to the science of medicine, using equipment and medicine invented by other scientists.

It's a good thing the church no longer opposes (most types of) medical progress, isn't it?

Not an angel. But she is a medical miracle, that's for sure.

I died for 3 minutes and 45 seconds giving birth to my son. I guess it was an experience, but I don't remember anything.

she died, but not eternally. she had enough oxygen in her brain to enable the return so the brain was still functioning on an atomic level. she is no angel, but very very lucky. the truly dead can never be returned.
