Dealers in Nevada start near minimum wage. A coworker of mine dealt blackjack 7 years in Nevada before coming to work with the firm, and he started at $6/hour and left at $10.50

The casinos assume you will make tips, not unlike waiting tables in many restaurants.

Before tips, dealers make minimum wage, or $6.15/hour in Nevada.

Nevada does not allow the tip allowance to be taken into confederation for minimum wage calculation like some states such as Colorado, where waiters sometime will mike as low as $2-3/hour ly wage.

Legislation in the 109th congress was untaken to disallow states to do this, but Harry Reid of Nevada fought it and that was a good thing.

Minimum. That's why most (good) dealers are friendly and want to see you win, because players who win usually give good tips.
