yes...loans are distributed quarterly or by semester

however they are "offered" for an academic school year...you will not get the loan for the semester you take off

Your loan was probably set up for 2 disbursements over 2 semesters, if you already attended the first semester and received the loan you will have that debt in your pocket but if you do not attend the 2nd semester of the loan you will not receive the 2nd disbursement because you were not eligible for it (need to attend at least 6 credit hours). If you return to school after that semester you will need to have a new loan certified and will probably have to complete a new FAFSA. When you stop attending at least half time you enter your grace period for the loan and have 6 months to return to school at least half time or start making payments on the loans you have already borrowed.

No, you won't! You have to attend at least half-time to get that loan.
