I personally take offense to this statement since I am not only white but ALSO black. I am not only good with chopsticks, I can balance 3 rolls of quilted toiletpaper/ 2 washingmachines on top of them! I don't much care for your words at all and I will report you to the AABWCAR (Association Against Black and White Carmel Baby Racism)

You must be joking right? I can use chopsticks to do so many things. I once carved a turkey with chopsticks. I've also played a drum solo at battle of the bands with chopsticks and have used a chopstick in a crossbow once to hunt a deer. Oh, and I bet you've never seen anyone water ski on chopsticks.. Well, I have. ..Me!

If we could all pretend we were three years old again, and people would give us as much time to learn to use chopsticks as little Asian kids get, we'd be pretty good with them, too.

I love to use chopsticks, myself (having had no problem pretending I was three years old at age thirty) but only for foods which respond well to being picked up with two sticks. Sticky rice dishes are good, stir-frys with lots of small pieces are good - hey, Asian food is good with chopsticks! Imagine that! But not pot roast, hamburgers or fried chicken! And not apple pie and not peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

I'm white and American and not only can I use chopsticks, but I'm also a pro at making sushi.
By the way, have you thought that maybe Asians are stupid for not using forks?

Yes, I can, but I did not have a choice in the matter. I was in Sydney Australia in the 90's, went into a very good Chinese restaurant (do not remember the name). All they had to eat with were chop sticks - needless to say, I learned very quickly. Since then, I have used them on occasion to keep me practiced. Most people will not even try - maybe that's why you Asian are typically slimmer than us Americans - ha.

heyy i'm asian and i think the use of chopsticks has got nothing to do with race. why, so many chinese can't use chopsticks without crossing them! its just got to do with your exposure and just because someone hasn't been exposed to eating with chopsticks doesn't mean he's stupid. take note.

HAHAHAHAHA I would have to be on the NO side....So you are correct. I don't eat alot of Asian or chinese/japanese food so have never had to use them. I did try once tho..and it was quite difficult. I guess you have to have a knack for it. LOL Goodluck on your bet. You may be surprised tho as alot of people DO know how to use chopsticks~

I was recently informed by a Chinese acquaintance that I 'hold my chopsticks like a peasant.' I have no idea what that means, but I can eat with them.
